Community Choir
Lively Community Choir held in the Lecture Theatre, John Turner building at Shiplake College on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.00pm in term-time.
With 50-60 members aged from 20 to 70, we sing a mainly pop repertoire, in four-part harmony. We do sing from music scores, but music-reading ability isn't necessary. There is no audition, all are welcome. We have great fun and are a very friendly and lively choir, with interval refreshments consisting of wine and nibbles! The choir costs just £50 per year.

Some comments from our members:
“I was made to feel welcome and even though I was quite nervous, Louise makes it such fun. Even though you may not have the best voice, you still enjoy it. You get a great feeling of achievement after learning a new piece when it all comes together.”
“The choir is certainly very valuable to me as I know it is to the friends who joined when I did. It is what it says, a community choir which is open to everyone, all ages and all abilities. It is big asset to our local area.”
“Our very talented and hilarious leader Louise makes every session good fun and is very inclusive of all levels of ability. I always leave feeling I have enjoyed some great singing and had a good laugh.”
