Closure of A4155 at Tower House 16th to 20th Sept between 21.00 and 05.00

Residents will want to know that the A4155 will be closed at Tower House on the dates/times shown above. There will be extensive diversion signage across a wide local area and I am trying to get 'Resident Access Only' signs for Mill Lane and Station Road to prevent rat-running through the village by normal A4155 traffic. This closure has been imposed by Thames Water in the face of strong resistance from myself and OCC officers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The closure may not happen next week due to Thames Water logistics difficulties and confirming an alternative date for the work is proving to be a challenge. The words 'MAY NOT HAPPEN' are the operative ones at the moment. Councillors will advise of any further updates as and when provided. Be mindful that the closure may take place as originally specified....

IMPORTANT! Thames Water is now requesting a date change! I will post an update when I have more information.

That sound ok, but we do receive a delivery before 5am and they would need to access the village and the Baskerville has visitors after 9pm. we would also need to make sure the signs were removed during the day as it deters important customers from Henley and harpsden from visiting the Post Office, Butchers and Baskerville.
