Thames Farm - Fencing

Morning everyone, a quick update regarding the above and the latest communication from Taylor Wimpey as follows: 

Morning Mr Boros,

I can confirm Taylor Wimpey will be replacing the existing heras fencing at the site boundary and replacing with close-board wooden fencing. Aim is to complete the works by the end of January.

 This is great news and shows that Taylor Wimpey are listening!

There have been some negative comments about the close-clad fencing on the 'street lights' thread. This is understandable as the fencing is urbanising and unattractive. However, it is a significant improvement on the previous security fencing and it does screen the moth-balled site. I have discussed the issue with SODC Planning and they have confirmed the fencing can remain only on a temporary basis and it is not a substitute for the tree replanting which has to take place at a future date.

Today's update from Taylor Wimpey: Mr Boros Unfortunately due to the volume of close board fencing, and a shortage available in the UK. The close board fencing works will be complete by mid-February. Sorry for any inconvenience caused
