Neighbourhood Plan's first test cases won

You might like to know that yesterday Shiplake Parish Council and our District Councillor (David Bartholomew) were successful in convincing the South Oxfordshire Planning Committee to overturn two planning decisions proposed by SODC Planning Officers. These acted as test cases for the Shiplake Villages Neighbourhood Plan (SVNP). It is now clear that the SVNP is incredibly valuable and must be taken seriously. SODC Planning Officers will have taken note for their future reviews of applications and no doubt will more closely read and understand the wishes of Shiplake residents contained in the Made (i.e. now activated) SVNP and reflect these in their future adjudications.   Thank you again to all involved in the SVNP and to those who spoke at yesterday's meeting referencing it .
