Friday Fish Shop at The Plough Shiplake

FISH & CHIPS are proof that some of life’s greatest pleasures are also the simplest.

As the daughter of a Nova Scotian fisherman, seafood, of all varieties, holds a very special place in my heart. That feeling of sentimental nostalgia, is shared with our Head Chef, Ian Normington.

So, in honour of NATIONAL FISH & CHIP Day, Friday 6 June, we are hosting a very special one day event; The Plough Fish & Chip Shop. For both lunch and dinner service we will be celebrating this proud, and delicious, English tradition.

All day Friday, we are pausing our regular a la carte menu for our take on a traditional Fish & Chip Shop, including Cod & Haddock, proper pie, chicken nuggets (but with truffle) and even battered Mars bar. You can find all of the details online.  

In addition to our fabulous Fish Shop we will also be serving pizza from 5pm -8pm and our 'Golden' Happy Hour will run from 4pm - 7pm, with our favourite cocktails on for £9 and all pints £5.
