SODC Planning / Thames Farm

All,

We have just been informed that the room where this matter is to be heard/decided, does not have space to accommodate people who wish to attend/view, and that people should watch on line. 
Clearly not a very democratic process at all, but that is what we are told.

If we are able to persuade them to lay on a larger room, I will let the village know on here.

All very annoying!

The room in which the meeting is to be held is tiny apparently, but has room for a very small number of spectators/public.

We are trying to ensure that key attendees like the Parish and Town Councils have space in the meeting as a priority

If there are others who would like to attend, we would like to manage a list of those to allocate, once we know the main people have somewhere to sit. If interested in going on that 'reserve list', please let me know.

Peter, do we have any visual evidence- photos-  apart from site plans to support our planning objections - flooding, etc. Is that "allowed" at the meeting ?

That is very disturbing as the planning committee is likely to be far less aware of online attendance compared to lots of people in the room.

I don't see why a large room cannot be organised. It raises all sorts of questions.

Unwelcome news. Presume that makes it impossible to assess strength of feeling from villagers.
