Shiplake College End of Term Events 2026

Dear Local Residents

You may have noticed the marquee on the Shiplake College Front Field, which signals that our end of term is coming up and with it a number of events for you to be aware of.
 
The flat surrounding landscape, along with open windows due to the current hot weather, means that sound is likely to travel, even when it doesn’t appear to be that loud in the marquee itself. There will be no fireworks at any of the events and we will do our very best to contain any noise (particularly after 11pm).

Saturday 27 June: Parents' Association Summer Ball
There will be a live band and DJ playing from 7.00pm until midnight.

Monday 29 June: Shiplake Rocks! Music Festival
All members of the village community are warmly invited to attend our annual summer music festival. The first performance is at 6.30pm, with a set-list from current and former pupils and staff playing in bands and individually, finishing by 9.30pm. There will also be a range of street-food vendors and a bar. Bring a blanket or camping chairs!

Wednesday 1 July: Leavers' Ball
This event on the last day of term is for our departing Year 13 pupils and their parents and will comprise of a formal dinner followed by a disco. The event will take place from 6.00pm until midnight (earlier than the normal 1am finish).
